Something I've never explored before: Orochimaru's flight from the Akatsuki. Did he take kabuto with him? Or did kabuto follow afterwards? I know that Kabuto was under Sasori's jutsu, but even so, we don't know quite when he met up with Orochimaru. What did Orochimaru think, to have someone who wanted to come with him?
I wish I could sate my curiosity...Kishimoto, please enlighten us!

Well technically Kabuto owes Chi his life since he was supposed to kill him initially. Chi decided to spare him.
