It started out as a simple color test: I'd just gotten some new skin-tone markers and wanted to test their potential. I've been reading a book that talks about the meaning of being collared, being a prisoner, and I added the collar to the sketch. But Kabuto isn't a prisoner completely against his will...
A golden collar. It shines alluringly, and no visible chain is attached, but a collar is a collar. A collar means a lack of freedom, no matter how it shines.
