Just a little hypothesis about what Sasuke's training might have been like in the beginning...
Orochimaru was probably really eager to see what sasuke was made of. Sasuke most likely had a really rough time before he figured out how to cope with Orochimaru. This is also a bit of a continuation of my comic [link]
Little thing to notice: Look at Kabuto's face. On the side Orochimaru can see, his expression seems concerned and serious...but on the other...

Kabuto has such an interesting character. It's fascinating to see him in all of your works - you put so much life into the characters you draw and it's very fun to look at them and think.
